Unks Burgers

Best burger I ever had. Real deal. Had the Hot Head Unk double. Crazy spicy but so delicious! Highly recommend any of their burgers. Would travel an hr for them.

The family that runs this business are really nice and there's something about the burgers they make. Its not just a ground beef patty with salt and pepper. There's a special mix of ingredients that make it original and I've never had a bad experience. Cant go wrong with anything. Get the double basement boy or the ryan with baked beans. The fries are awesome as well. Love this place and wont stop going as long as it's still standing

Stopped in at Unk's Burgers while visiting the Lee's Summit Library. I had never heard of it and thought it was worth a try. As soon as I walked in I heard a friendly voice welcoming me into the establishment. She walked up, smiled, and offered me a menu. I decided on the burger to go. The atmosphere was homely and peaceful. I would definitely have dined in if I had the time. They even have a chess board for the hungry strategist.There were two large flat screened televisions One in front of a seating area with leather sofas and another diagonal to the counter. The restaurant looked clean and well maintained. The burgers being prepared smelled simply marvelous. My order, Ill Bodacious Combo, burger with baked beans & jalapenos, came up to $10.77. Yes, it was well worth the price. Delicious food + friendly staff = nice dining experience!

It’s nice that it’s a locally owned place. And the staff is super friendly. I like having all the options to mix and match on your burger. They were just average burgers, however. The fries were good but they are more greasy than what I’ve had at other places so most of us had slight indigestion later. If I’m in the neighborhood at mealtime I would stop by again, but wouldn’t make a special trip.

We went to Unk's as it was close. They are in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is quaint. There was a lot of confusion as to how it worked, but the lady told us to sit wherever and they brought us menus. All of their parties have onions mixed in, but you can request to have it without onions. It's also essentially a build your own burger place with suggestions though. The beef was seasoned great and the sweet potato tots were great. It was a good burger place. It would definitely be worth going back for if I had to choose between it or Freddie's across the parking lot.

People are top notch! They care about the product and it reflects in the food. I have lived across the bridge from day they opened. All the food has always been consistent and very tasty. Not one bad experience....must eat if you're a burger person....

So I had heard this place was good but I can honestly say it was the best burger I have had in a long time. The staff was absolutely fantastic. Would definitely recommend and go back to.

Great turkey burger salad made to order with turkey burger, friend egg, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar, and onions. $8.99. I passed on the pickle, bread, and ranch dressing. Mustard is my kind of burger salad dressing. Great place.

Wonderful food here. My wife loves it, I haven't been able to pleasure her like unk does in years. The special sauce on the burgers really adds a salty kick which the kids love. Definitely coming back to this place

We were driving around deciding where to eat, but in the end we ended up in Unk's Burgers. This place was sprawling with beautiful drawings and overall an amazing atmosphere. Once we sat down all around us there were wonderful people who made us feel like we were part of a wonderful family. Now time for why we were all reading this the food, when it comes to burgers you come to this fine establishment. That is not all I have to say on the food because I HATE BEANS, but those beans were a meh to me which in other terms is a 10/10. If you want a safe and happy restaurant come down to Unk's.

Best burger in town. Great customer service. They sell beer too. There is a burger with habanero grounds into it and an option for ghost pepper cheese. Lots of burger toppings are available for customization. The line the tables with paper for you to colir on and they laminate the good drawings and put them on the wall. There is also a milkshake machine with several varieties. These are great hand made burgers and well worth a trip. I also like the sweet potato tots.

The establishment is nice and small, and is obviously well loved. The owner stopped by our table a couple times and was friendly and chatty. I ended up choosing the baked bean burger, which is just a burger with their house made beans. The burger was good. The beans were a bit sweet for me but I get that is a preference thing. Other people's food looked good too and they said they would be coming back. A few notes. No tap water, you have to pay for a bottle (a little over a dollar and obviously no refills). They have a soda machine so I don't know why they can't do water. The food for lunch took a bit longer than expected. My companions complained a bit but I get that it's made to order unlike some of the chain restaurants.

Food was delicious! Thick juicy burgers and yummy fries! However, the service was the best part of our experience! Great hometown feel and they are were happy to talk CHIEFS with me all afternoon!!! Definitely a must!!! We will be back!

We ordered to-go. The food was wonderful. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and the baked bean burger. Both were excellent. The fries were also very good. Let's go Lee's Summit - Take-Out Tuesday - Support your local businesses!

Several unique burgers on the menu. It's a fun place to try. The burger was very good and I'd eat another, but it wasn't one of the best I've ever had or anything. Highly recommend the sweet potato tots though.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. We had questions since we'd not been there before and the poor server had laryngitis. So the owner came and explained the menu options. I opted for the baked bean burger and my wife got the hot head niece. We were very impressed. Excellent food.

It was absolutely amazing. I recommend EVERYONE going there at least once. Their burgers are cooked to perfection, and their staff is to die for... Other well known places should take notes

I have been to Unk’s once before. I either forgot how good it is, or it got better than when I last had it (and the first time was good, too). The service was speedy, and the gentleman who helped me was very kind and attentive. My food also got out in a reasonable time frame (less than 10 minutes). The food was..exceptional. The burger was fresh, hot, tasty, and original, and the fries have a nice flaky exterior texture, while soft in the middle. Absolutely delicious.There’s one other place that I go to for an exceptional original KC burger, and this rivals it. I will be back. Thank you, Unk’s!

We are SO happy they are open for carry out! I had to go back for an order of fries that got left out, and the owner himself apologized and made it right. They ALWAYS have the best customer service, hands down. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that the burgers are AMAZING!
